Wonderwell Expands Team and Plans for Growth in 2022
Happy holidays from the newly expanded Wonderwell team! After establishing a solid track record as an award-winning hybrid publisher of bestselling nonfiction over the last eight years and rebranding in the midst of the pandemic, we are poised for growth in 2022 and excited to introduce our latest staff members, including a new Sales and Marketing Director, Senior Editor, Production Editor/Project Manager, and Executive Assistant.
Sales and Marketing Director Jennifer Jensen brings 15 years’ experience in trade book marketing, having managed the campaigns for 17 New York Times bestsellers—including Mark Manson’s smash hit, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, and award-winning actor John Lithgow’s Dumpty and Trumpty Dumpty Wanted a Crown. Before moving to Wonderwell, she held several roles at HarperCollins, rising from intern to associate director of marketing at HarperOne, and most recently helped found Chronicle Prism, an imprint of Chronicle Books.
Senior Editor Allison Serrell manages Wonderwell’s editorial department and specializes in helping emerging authors find their voice and refine their ideas. Allison has deep experience in the publishing world, having worked as a book packager, author, and editor of general nonfiction with Chronicle Books, Parallax Press, Weldon Owen, Sunset Publishing, and Callisto Media.
Production Editor/Project Manager Jesmine Cham was recently promoted to the role, after having served for 4 years as Wonderwell’s publishing coordinator—an operations position that was crucial to the company’s evolution and growth.
Executive Assistant Kristin Stoddart provides administrative support to the team. She has a background in supporting executive teams at two global management consulting firms and an architecture firm, and also brings experience in public relations and web design.
Wonderwell CEO and Publisher Maggie Langrick said, “By welcoming these industry veterans to our team, we are thrilled to offer our authors unparalleled editorial and book marketing support. Jenn and Allison bring a wealth of experience in traditional publishing and will be instrumental in building on our established reputation for developing and marketing commercially successful books that change readers’ lives.”
